General Manager Energy Solutions
Steve Collett is the General Manager of Energy Solutions at ECL Group, where he leads a large nationwide team of 14 locations delivering critical infrastructure services across the fuels, carwash, and energy project sectors. Based in Auckland, Steve ensures operational excellence, strategic growth, and high standards of health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) compliance.
Steve is responsible for managing relationships with ECL’s most important clients in the fuels industry, including bp New Zealand, Z Energy, Exxon Mobil, and Allied Petroleum. His team provides 24/7 service and maintenance, technical support, and emergency response across over 3,000 service stations and commercial sites nationwide.
With over 13 years of leadership experience at ECL, Steve has honed his strategic, operational, and HSSE capabilities. Before joining ECL, he spent 15 years at Smith and Smith, where he gained deep expertise in operations, team development, and organisational growth.
Steve’s leadership is marked by a hands-on approach to transformation, structural reform, and capability building. He has driven initiatives to improve employee engagement, streamline service delivery, and expand Energy Solutions’ market share through scalable service offerings.
